"My daughter and I saw the Parting Stones brochure at the funeral home when we went to arrange for my wife's cremation. My daughter persuaded me to talk to the funeral director about this option even though I was concerned about adding $2200 plus to the cost of the cremation. The director explained the process and we decided to go ahead with the order. My son and his family live in Sweden, my daughter lives in Colorado so having remains that could be shared among the family made so much sense. The stones did take a long time to process but arrived just before my wife's memorial celebration of her life in early January of 2025. My granddaughters loved the stones and both took one home with them to Sweden. We placed one in the memorial garden at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship where my wife was very active and much loved, and the rest are in a beautiful cut-glass bowl in the new house that was designed for my wife to live with Parkinson's disease -- she never got to move in while alive but now is prominently present. Her closest friends have also taken a stone to keep her with them."
